Andante Grazioso by W. A. Mozart on the classical guitar



I have published yesterday a short passage from Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major. 

I added two short films made by the river Bug in Poland. You can admire the landscape. It was a very hot day but there, by the river, it was nice and fresh. You can listen, hopefully, enjoy it and let me know your opinion on the video.

Alman by Robert Johnson

Today I have bought a magazine for guitarists 'Gitarzysta'. I live in Poland hence a Polish name. I found there a score and tabs for an old piece of music 'Alman'. It was originally written for the lute. This undoubtedly a beautiful piece of music has been presented by Bridget Mermikides. She also made some useful comments concerning possible problems you can encounter while mastering the composition. Out of curiosity, I put her name on the Internet and, among others, I found her excellent tutorial on Recuerdos de Alhambra. Do not be surprised if one day you will see me on youtube playing 'Alman' then. Not so difficult to play, a lovely tune masterfully arranged for the guitar. Unfortunately, I cannot present this music's performance by Bridget. It is strictly reserved for the magazine subscribers only. If you are luckily one of them, you can enjoy it. If you are not, do not worry. There are a lot of versions on Youtube.

Happy New Year 2018

Hi, I am Bogumil George. In my first entry, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year 2018. The aim of this blog is to help the readers interested in playing the guitar. We'll start from such basic things as the names of the strings, how to change them, how to tune the instrument. I will use the classical guitar as a model to teach. In this blog, you will find video lessons as well as written ones. Your comments will be appreciated. Over a week ago I published few Christmas carols. The style of playing I promote is defined as fingerstyle. On youtube, you can find a lot of my songs and performances. However, in this blog, I am going to publish systematically from the scratch 'How to play the guitar.' With your help, your comments and remarks we have a chance to create a kind of a school for the guitar.
